Blue Sea Systems’ m-Series (Mini) Battery Switch
22nd January 2006
Blue Sea Systems announces a new line of battery switches. The m-Series
Battery Switch is a great choice for most boaters because of its four practical
models, flexible mounting and configuration options, small size, and current-
carrying capacity.
The switch is available in four models: Single Circuit ON/OFF (knob or key
version); Selector 1/2/1+2/OFF. ual Circuit Plus™; and Dual Circuit™. The
innovative new Dual Circuit™ and Dual Circuit Plus™ Battery Switches provide
Engine and Start battery isolation.
Because of its small size and flexible mounting options, this Battery Switch can
be installed in many situations. The m-Series switch is ideal when there are
space constraints—it will fit into a space 3” X 3” (7.6cm X 7.6cm). The case
design allows for surface mounting, front-panel through-hole mounting that is
self-trimming, and rear-panel through-hole mounting. A removable snap-on rear-
cover and sliding isolator covers protect rear contacts—remove only the isolator
cover required to make connections. The rear cover can be attached in any of
the mounting configurations. The knob is removable in the OFF position for
service lockout, and is positively retained in other positions.
The small size of the Blue Sea Systems’ m-Series Battery Switch is deceiving. It
has high current-carrying capacity—300 Amperes continuous rating suitable for
outboards and small inboard gasoline engines and 20 percent higher than other
larger switches on the market.
